Subject: Another use for your Drop Shot Weight Keeper System
Diane: In addition to putting your Drop Shot Weight Keeper system on my Lake Erie drop-shot spinning rods, I installed one on each of my Carolina Rig Rods. The one BIG problem with a Carolina Rig, just like with a drop shot rig, is how to secure the weight and leader when putting the rod down or when making a run. If not secured, the leader will tangle itself in everything under the sun and the weight will bang on the side of the boat.
I used to drop a lot of slack in my line and wrap the line around the left side plate of my reel, just above the weight. Or, I would have to expose the hook and clip it around a rod guide or around one of the cross-members of my reel. Now, I just run the line in your keeper, right above the bait, tighten the line, and wrap the weight around the rod a couple times. Or, if I am going to put the rod down for a while, I will run the gap of the hook into the keeper. Either way, the bait and weight stay in place during a run or until I am ready to use them again.
Your keeper system solved my Carolina Rig problem for me, in spades!
You have a wonderful product. I had previously paid a rod-builder
to have a similar keeper system attached to one of my rods. Your
product is easy, fast and offers the advantage of changing the location if you desire later.
It is useful not only for dropshot rigs, but also for any Texas-rig lure that needs to be secured to the rod without the hassle of removing the hook from the bait which is required on standard hook keeper devices.
I am ordering more to give to some of my fishing buddies.

Thanks Guys!

I received and installed a 4 pack of these products over the weekend. Simply outstanding!
I am especially impressed with the silicone tape supplied with the keepers. It "sticks without sticking" in so many words.
In addition to being used as a general hook keeper on any rod, a side benefit is that when storing texas-rigged plastics for transport, I can now keep the lure fully rigged by securing only the bullet weight with the keeper. This saves me wear and tear on my plastics, especially Senkos and other salt impregnated baits that tear easily.
In short, I'm ordering another 10 this afternoon to retrofit all of my flipping/pitching sticks and Carolina Rig rods.
I have found this keeper the most outstanding keeper that I’ve seen or used on my custom rods. I was impressed with the Kistler style of keeper, but after installing your keepers onto several of my custom rods, I’ve got to say it is perfection. My close friends that I’ve built rods for found this to be the best keeper that they used too. I like the fact that you can use it as a regular keeper, slide your line under it for keeping the weights of T-Rigs or Drop Shot Rigs, and use the very end of the bend on it to temporally secure any rig also… Just an awesome product and plan on doing much business with you for future custom rods for my peeps… great product, people should buy them by the dozens for their rods…

My friend Sean from La Crosse WI, built me a Custom Spinning rod using
your Keeper and I have to admit I have never used anything like it.
It is outstanding the way that I can now use the keeper no matter what kind
of lure I have on, versus having to cut off and tie on a single hook just for
transport. Love the Keeper and Good job designing it and getting it out to the public. This is by far the Best I have seen and had the pleasure of using.

Hello,
Sean is building a rod for me using the keeper, and I fell in love with them
the first time I saw a rod he built with them. Will get to try it out in the spring.

I ordered some of your drop shot keepers a few weeks ago. I LOVE them. They are far superior to anything else out there! I liked them so much that
I ordered some more which I've put on ALL of my rods and I've even given
some to my friends. I highly recommend them to all fishermen.
The tape that holds them on is GREAT and does not come off easily. They
are EXCELLENT for keeping drop shot rigs from getting tangled, but they are
also great as keepers for all the other kinds of lures that a bass fisherman
uses.
It would be great if ALL rods came wrapped with them as standard
equipment! It would also be great if you could get them into stores like
Bass Pro Shops or Cabela's. What a simple but OUTSTANDING product!
